I have been to alot of places but Sears is up front in the prices and nothing will be charged without you oking the work. Also after shopping around he prices were lower than most of your big chains. I have read the other post on here and it was not my impression. Call them up and give them a try. (Hide)

I had a very bad experience at Sears Auto in Burnsville, MN. I went in to get a battery replaced and one would think that was an easy repair, if it was one at all. After two hours of hanging out in the adjacent mall, I had not received a call from... (More) I had a very bad experience at Sears Auto in Burnsville, MN. I went in to get a battery replaced and one would think that was an easy repair, if it was one at all. After two hours of hanging out in the adjacent mall, I had not received a call from the shop, I returned to find that it still hadn't been looked at. After waiting for another 20 minutes while the sales staff (2 people on a Sat.) one, who I found out was the acting manager, passed me by without even a "be right with you". Once I was acknowledged, I was told it would be another hour or so to get the battery installed. Finally, after 4 hours of waiting it was "done"...When I was leaving, I noticed that my radio didn't work. They proceeded to tell me they need the code from the manufacturer to reset it. UNBELIEVABLE! The "manager" was the worst at customer service! He said he couldn't do anything about it. I ended up going back to my dealership to get the job done right. NEVER AGAIN will I go back. Horrible customer service (Hide)

It's courtesy to wait for the person to get situated and make sure the car works before you abandon him.The two front tires came off while he was in the parking lot. The tires rolled faster than the car, and I couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes. I mean come one. Drop a car off for a tire problem, and the wheels fall off before you leave. :) (Hide)

They offer a warranty for a battery if you purchase from them, but they will test your battery and say nothing is wrong with it, then send you on your way...only after it has taken an act of congress to get someone to help you and the wait will... (More) They offer a warranty for a battery if you purchase from them, but they will test your battery and say nothing is wrong with it, then send you on your way...only after it has taken an act of congress to get someone to help you and the wait will not be worth your while...its best if you have someone pick you up and take you back to pick up your car. Tires Plus is a 100 times better service, quality, and customer relations department. Hands Down Sears is SLOW!! (Hide)

Over the next couple of days we noticed oil leaking from the vehicle. As the car is always parked in the garage we could easily tell this was fresh clear oil. She returned to the Sears and was told they had a shipment of "cracked filters" and that she was the third car in to have this problem fixed.Either Sears knew of a problem that could have seriously damaged the car (by way of the engine seizing) and failed to notify customers when that supposedly faulty shipment was discovered OR the so-called mechanics there cannot even change an oil filter. Niether option speaks well of them.I recommend you try anywhere else. (Hide)

I could not get a quote for my car service because they could not transfer me to the right department. For car repairs I was transfered to lawn mower and home services before I gave up. If they can't get me to the right department, I will not... (More) I could not get a quote for my car service because they could not transfer me to the right department. For car repairs I was transfered to lawn mower and home services before I gave up. If they can't get me to the right department, I will not trust them to fix my car! (Hide)

They are terrible..and they look right through you with very little attention to customer service...does anyone know at shop other than a BMW dealership where I can get reasonable service for my 2006 BMW??

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I brought my car in for a regular oil change service with an upgrade to the premium package that included a coolant exchange. Waited for over 3 hours for them to change it out and change the oil only to be driving my car home... (More) ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I brought my car in for a regular oil change service with an upgrade to the premium package that included a coolant exchange. Waited for over 3 hours for them to change it out and change the oil only to be driving my car home and my engine to overheat and start spewing fluid out all over the place. Broke my entire engine block which forced me to get an entirely new engine all because they had "forgotten to put the coolant back in."DO NOT USE THEM! THEY ARE UNQUALIFIED AND EXTREMELY INCOMPETENT.
