(More) St. Louis FJ Cruiser customers beware! It took a Safelite employee 3 hours to install a new windshield in my FJ Cruiser and in doing so he scrached the paint on my hood, dented in two places the plate that surrounds the wipers and did not replace correctly the two corner pieces that connect the hood with the fenders, in fact he duct taped them together and left it that way. Now I have to be without my vehicle for 3 days while Toyota repairs his damage.  (Hide)

Once again they are taking advantage of college students lack of knowledge on car repairs. My sons truck started leaking from the radiator. He took it over to Firestone, before he could turnaround they had him replacing all kind of part associated... (More) Once again they are taking advantage of college students lack of knowledge on car repairs. My sons truck started leaking from the radiator. He took it over to Firestone, before he could turnaround they had him replacing all kind of part associated to the water system for a total for $650.00. I got on-line and found him another place a mile down the road that took care of the problem and had him on his way for $330.00.  (Hide)

Quote process is way too lengthy and ridiculous. Agent could not just give me a quote without a long drawn out process. He promised a 5 minute quote, which turned into 20. They need to rethink this stupid process..

TERRIBLE SERVICE OR SIMPLY LACK OF SERVICE. Needed to replace rear door window. Tech called and needed a $3 part to finish the job. I said ok. Then got another call 3 hours later to say the glass was not cut right. JOB NOT DONE. They could order a... (More) TERRIBLE SERVICE OR SIMPLY LACK OF SERVICE. Needed to replace rear door window. Tech called and needed a $3 part to finish the job. I said ok. Then got another call 3 hours later to say the glass was not cut right. JOB NOT DONE. They could order a glass from a dealership and shld have it in 2 to 3 days. I called a week later after not hearing from them only to be told it would take 2 weeks!!. Who has that kind of time. I canceled the order and moved on to the competition! Should have known from day one that it would end badly. NEVER AGAIN!!! (Aug. 2009)  (Hide)

Really poor service, the technician was rude/hurried. I wouldn't recommend them for service. My windshield has cracked again!

Very un-happy. Called Monday to have windshield installed. They will call back when glass is in. No call. Call back the following Monday... order was never placed. Placed order and will be installed that Thursday between 8 and 12 noon. No call on... (More) Very un-happy. Called Monday to have windshield installed. They will call back when glass is in. No call. Call back the following Monday... order was never placed. Placed order and will be installed that Thursday between 8 and 12 noon. No call on Thursday. Called back at 12:10pm with cell number since stuck in the house all morning waiting for a call. Get back at 1pm and they left message at home they were there... where was I? They come back 20 minutes later with wrong windshield. Then they state they can not get the proper windshield. Great way to loose a customer. Funny how they were the ones who put the windshield in back in 2006. Now in 2009 they don't have it?  (Hide)

THEY REFUSED TO TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR APPALLING SERVICE AND REPLACE THE BROKEN WINDSHIELD THEY INSTALLED. THE TECHNICIAN SPOKE NO ENGLISH, LEFT BROKEN GLASS ALL OVER MY VEHICLE AND DRIVEWAY AND BLACK STICKY STUFF. ALSO, THERE WERE ITEMS MISSING FROM MY CAR. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF TAKING THESE MATTERS TO THE NEXT LEVEL AS SAFELITE HAS MADE NO ATTEMPTS AT MAKING THINGS RIGHT. ALL OF THE SERVICE REPS AND MNGMT I HAVE SPOKEN WITH HAVE REPEATLY SAID THEY WOULD HANDLE THIS AND I NEVER GET A CALL BACK.
