I have anxiety and panic disorder. This requires me to take medication and see a psychologist and therapist. I got a letter saying that I am not covered because it is a "pre-existing condition." I NEED MY MEDICATION, AND TO SEE MY THERAPIST. Thank God my family practice doctor is prescribing my medication for now, but he says he can't keep prescribing my medication because he does not treat my for my anxiety. All this stress has made my anxiety worse! The reason I got this insurance is so that I am covered so I can go to my psychologist and therapist without paying $250 every visit. How to they get away treating people who really need insurance like this?

Horizon does not pay anything as a secondary provider. Paid for ER visit in 2010 then after I switched to a new provider in 2011 Horizon retracted the 2010 payment. Nothing I could do as I was no longer a Horizon member. I paid the bill. You will pay your premiums but never get anything if you make a claim.

I AGREE WITH THE ABOVE -HORIZON BLUE SHIELD IS THE WORSE INSURANCE THERE IS-THEY CHARGE A LOT OF MONEY AND PAY NOTHING.THEY ALWAYS HAVE SOME REASON THEY DON'T PAY

STAY AWAY!! The worst health insurance possibly ever! Why pay $207/mth when they pay for nothing! Watch out for "pre-existing conditions", even if you never had the condition before, and when they reject payment because the provider is not in their "network" out of the blue. It's really crime what they do, and I hope for everyone's sake they are shut down. Giving 1 star is too much.
