Henry Puffer School has enjoyed a long, rich history of educating children in the northwest corner of the Downers Grove Community. Our staff is dedicated to providing all of our students the educational program required to allow them to become contributing members of the community. In addition to their core and content area studies, a number of enrichment opportunities are available to round out the overall experience available to our students. Another incredibly important part of our school is the Puffer-Hefty PTA. These adult volunteers spend countless hours working on behalf of and along with our students. From carving pumpkins, providing school assemblies, classroom parties, to lobbying legislators on behalf of children, our PTA has been an integral part of developing our youth for 75 years. Please consider joining our PTA and getting involved with this very special group. Lastly, the Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 is an entity separate from our school district that works solely for the benefit of District 58 students. They have generated approximately $250,000 over the past few years that has in turn been funneled to our children in the form of grant programs. With the state of education funding, these extra dollars provide resources that our classrooms would otherwise not receive.
