Floors Today

Several months ago I purchased flooring from Floors Today in Greensboro, NC. Two weeks after having it installed, the flooring began to buckle. I contacted the manager and she explained that she would come look at it but that was normal. (?!?) I... (More) Several months ago I purchased flooring from Floors Today in Greensboro, NC. Two weeks after having it installed, the flooring began to buckle. I contacted the manager and she explained that she would come look at it but that was normal. (?!?) I called each time after she missed an appointment and she reluctantly rescheduled. My husband and I went on vacation and upon our return I called the store again. A new manager was there and as promised, came out to inspect my floor THAT SAME DAY! Erick explained to me the problem was with the way my installer had failed to leave an expansion gap and this was causing my floor to rise from the subfloor in areas. I called my contractor again and in less than a week my problems were resolved. It took them a while but I believe floors today is on the right track. Erick called me two weeks after his visit to make sure I was satisfied with my floor and I have to say that even after the aggravation, I couldn't be happier!  (Hide)

This company is a scam. I decedied against a purchase made after realizing the same day (July 31, 2006) I was provided false information. They signed my receipt that my credit card would be credited back by corporate. It still has not been... (More) This company is a scam. I decedied against a purchase made after realizing the same day (July 31, 2006) I was provided false information. They signed my receipt that my credit card would be credited back by corporate. It still has not been credited and when I went to the store (Aug 14), I found the store vacated. Marietta Georgia. I'm hoping this will be resolved today. Will update.  (Hide)

(More) I Recently Visited The Clermont Store, I Noticed Some Wood I Liked Very Much. They Did Not Have Enough Of It So One Of The Sales Guys Actually Drove Personally To Ocala To Get The Remaining Pieces For Me. He Gave Me A Real Good Deal And My Experience In The Store Was Great... They are very Kind People And I Would Go There Again Anyday To Purchase Flooring.  (Hide)

The store manager added quarter round and glue to my ordered which I did not ask for. I called the store manager and asked if I could cancel the quarter round order, he said he would get back with me. This went on two or three times so I asked for the name and number of someone else I could talk to and he would not give it to me. I tried calling their 866 number off of their website and found out it was just an answering service. They took three messages for me and said someone from the Corp. office would call me within a day and I have yet to here from them. It has been one month since I ordered the flooring and I am still waiting for the quarter round and glue to come in as well as a response from the store manager about returning the quarter round. Floors Today has the worst customer service and I would recommend anyone looking for flooring to avoid this business.  (Hide)

Floorstoday installer had no idea what he was doing. We installed hardwood floors purchased from the Floorstoday store in Mobile, AL. The installer had most of the joints in a straight line. We installed hardwood floors purchased from the Floorstoday store in Mobile, AL. The installer had most of the joints in a straight line. This is a no no. Installer cut a .5 inch gap around door molding. This should have been undercut. Installer used a felt tip marker that has left marks everywhere. Store has stated they will replace floor but after two weeks still nobody has called or written. I would not recommed Floorstoday to anyone.  (Hide)

Crew failed to curtain area off where demolition was to occur. Their failure to do this resulted in a mess of concrete fragments all over my home including my leather furniture in the living area. All blinds and ceiling fans and inside and out of... (More) Crew failed to curtain area off where demolition was to occur. Their failure to do this resulted in a mess of concrete fragments all over my home including my leather furniture in the living area. All blinds and ceiling fans and inside and out of kitchen cabinets are covered. Company is not willing to send a cleaning crew to correct this and we are in our 60's. I would not recommend this company to anyone.  (Hide)

The person we were dealing with never followed up with a phone call when he... (More) We were given 2 boxes of incorrect flooring. Trying to get those 2 boxes turned into a nightmare. They were never at the Brandon store when we were told they would be. The person we were dealing with never followed up with a phone call when he said he would. We made numerous trips in to no avail. Some of those trips were from a different town. We purchased the flooring on Feb. 4th. It took us until March 25th to get the last 2 boxes and I had to drive to Tampa, a 3 hour roundtrip, to pick it up. In addition to that, the first time we went to pick up our padding, they had given it to another customer. . I had to pay the installer for the 3 hours it took me to pick up the floor. INot only will I not purchase from Floors Today again, nor will my daughter, I will recommend to anyone I know, considering a flooring purchase to go elsewhere. The name! is certainly a joke.  (Hide)
