They continue to make up problems with your car. This has happen several times. I took my car in for an oil change. They told me that I needed my water pump replaced for $1200.00. I have very had a leak and I did not take their advised even when... (More) They continue to make up problems with your car. This has happen several times. I took my car in for an oil change. They told me that I needed my water pump replaced for $1200.00. I have very had a leak and I did not take their advised even when they try to tell me that it could me me stranded on the highway. Not a big fan. I gave them two stars only b/c they did the job and the tires didn't fall off. I had to wait over three hours, even though it was only 10 when I got there. I had to wait over three hours, even though it was only 10 when I got there. Nothing but car magazines in the waiting room (just because I own a car doesn't mean it's a hobby of mine). Of course, when I get a flat only a month later (slashed), I couldn't get the tire off b/c the nuts were too tight, I even STOOD on the wrench! So I drove my flat to another place to get it done.  (Hide)

The anger Tony was so polite to me and made me a female feel very comfortable with the care of my car. (More) The anger Tony was so polite to me and made me a female feel very comfortable with the care of my car. The man Mike took excellent care of my car and was very honest and made me understand what was needed and what to look for in the future. They both made me feel as if I would not be taken advantage of as a female. I have since taken my car back for tires, and the past two oil changes. They are very kind and make you comfortable when you wait. This is the Bethel Park, PA Firestone also another gentleman Kenny helped me when I thought I had a problem and he made me aware of what was going on and took care of me. Go to Bethel Park they are great!! Every person there smiles and says hello that tells me as a career woman that they are happy employees there and that makes for great customer service!  (Hide)

I wouldn't give this shop one star. I went in with an overheating problem. My car continued to overheat on me 3 different time after they said they had corrected the problem. The last time I got my car back the AC wasn't working when it worked... (More) I wouldn't give this shop one star. I went in with an overheating problem. My car continued to overheat on me 3 different time after they said they had corrected the problem. The last time I got my car back the AC wasn't working when it worked just fine when I took my car to them. They gave me a 1100 quote to fix what they broke. I had had enough so I took my car to an honest shop and the AC repair was 400. I will never take my car to another Firestone as long as I live. Neither will my family or friends. It's funny I work with the public for a living as well and I make sure to let everyone I come across know my story so they won't make the same mistake I did. RUN FOR YOUR LIVES. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO FIRESTONE! SAVE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!  (Hide)

And every time you go there, you will have to pay money from your Pocket. I... (More) Firestone, the one near Irving Mall is the worst place to take Ur work done in your car. Once they work on your Vehicle, You will have to take it back again and again. And every time you go there, you will have to pay money from your Pocket. I spend $600, buying new tires, lifetime alignment..Later I found out it was not the right tires for my car. And it keeps on messing my alignment. every time I go there to do not do a good job, for which I have to keep on going back. Just waste of time...I even wonder if they have a licensed technician...  (Hide)

I went to Firestone in Barboursville,West Virginia to get a radiator flush and after paying almost 100.00 for a simple repair my radiator is still clogged with gunk and is still running hot.They said it may need to be flushed 3 or 4 times!At 89.95... (More) I went to Firestone in Barboursville,West Virginia to get a radiator flush and after paying almost 100.00 for a simple repair my radiator is still clogged with gunk and is still running hot.They said it may need to be flushed 3 or 4 times!At 89.95 a pop they should do it right the first time,like the service warranty states they will or they'll redo it free,which they won't honor.I will never reccomend them for anything and the only reason I went there in the first place was they were the only shop open on Sunday.  (Hide)

Among the worst mechanics I've had. Poorly diagnosed problems. Had to return for follow up. Cannot recommend in any way.

(More) One time I needed a second opinion on a break problem/estimate and went to this location because it was on the way home. They thoroughly inspected my vehicle, ran a report for me to take home, and recommended NO work was needed - all FREE of charge! Even though I had never done business there before, they did not try to 'create' a need for charges just to get me to become a customer. Next time I will take my business there first.  (Hide)

However, on August 19, 2009 I advised my son to take his car to Firestone and get a... (More) It is my displeasure to have to write a negative rating. From past experience I have grown to rely on information given to me from the Firestone mechanics. However, on August 19, 2009 I advised my son to take his car to Firestone and get a diagnostic because his car was overheating and losing antifreeze. The diagnostic was done and he was told that he needed a water pump and thermostat. After the work was done at a cost of $553.00, we were told that the car now needed a new engine because the head gaskets were blown. In addition to that when my son tried to start the car it would not start. My problem is this, If the mechanic did a proper diagnostic exam then he should have know that the head gaskets were blown before putting on a new water pump and thermostat. I don't have a problem paying for the dianogistic but why should I have to pay for unncessary work. Please respond.  (Hide)
