"BUYER BEWARE" Chef Thomas Casey will cancel a class on you at the last minute. Good luck trying to contacting him to find out why or getting a refund. Unless you want to be disappointed don't book at "For The Love Of Food. I would not even give them 1 star, but I had to check one to submit my review.

I'm 14 years old and I have been to a cooking class and a summer camp at For the Love of Food. Both experiences were very enjoyable for both me, and my whole family. Each day I would come home with tons of home made delicious food for my family, along with new cooking skills and friends. I would definitely recommend this camp to any veteran or new cooks. Chef Thomas taught us how to buy, store, and prepare different types of seafood. He was friendly and taught the class so that people of all skill levels could learn from it. The class was very informative, fun, and relaxed. At the end of the class, there was plenty of food to go around, and even some to take home. The class left me full, and confident in my ability to replicate the same dishes on my own. I hope to go back for another very soon.

I took the 6 week Think like a Chef class. I'm a mother of 3 young children and a wife to a meat and potatoes guy. I have a good base for cooking, but I wanted to learn how to broaden my cooking skills to include food that would satisfy my entire family and step up the flavor. Not only did we learn how to cook everyday meals, but we learned a lot about how to prep your refrigerator & freezer to make future meal cooking faster. I absolutely loved this class and I look forward to taking the advanced class. This class allowed others who weren't as experienced with cooking to learn the techniques, and it allowed more seasoned cooks to improve their skills. It also allowed those that don't eat outside of their comfort zone to explore foods that they otherwise would have have tried. I would say that the only downside to the class is eating a large meal at 10 pm, but heck the food was so good you couldn't leave without eating it (or with taking some home for lunch tomorrow)!

I took the "How to Think Like a Chef" 6-week course, and it was a great experience! I came to the class with very little cooking knowledge and left with the confidence to cook more often. Chef Thomas is a great teacher, involves all students in participating during each class, and will answer any questions you have. This was a great class and was worth every penny! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn to cook or simply wants to get better at cooking!

This is something Baltimore really needed, its a 4-hour class where participants prepare the food under the supervision of talented chefs, picking up very valuable tips. Then the good part comes when you get to eat the prepared food.

My husband and I took a vegetarian cooking class with 9 others. Chef Thomas is lively and very approachable. He related basic cooking concepts and freed up our thinking about how to experiment with simple ingredients in the kitchen. Throughout the evening he answered our questions about how to use spices, how to cook various things, and how to use the kitchen efficiently. We all prepared some of the food, which was not complicated but turned out to be delicious. We highly recommend his classes.

So much fun! Only suggestion, would have loved to be offered a glass of wine a little earlier.

Really enjoyed the demonstration class on 'farm to table'. Farmer Lynne Ferguson was so knowledgable and Chef Thomas was fantastic! Great atmosphere and the food was amazing.

Great class! The recipes were not overly complex and I now have the tools for multiple cooking techniques. What truly enhanced the class is that the instructor was not "high and mighty" to the lesser experience classmaters...it really was an atmosphere for fun learning.

This was a great series of cooking classes that I took. It was a present from family and friends for my birthday. I took the series Think Like a Chef. I have been cooking for 40 years, and learned so many new skills. I am looking forward to taking more classes.

Chef Diane is a fantastic teacher offering classes for the very beginner to the advanced home chef. I always learn a lot from each class. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

I am a 2 year going on 3 camper of KIDS COOK! and just have to say that this camp has helped me progress in skills, expanded my food horizon, and improved my dish repetoire immensely. I wish I could go every weekend, but it makes the summer that much more special. The kids you meet are great, and it is the best experience bonding and especially cooking with everyone that comes to camp. Cant wait to go back!!!

My boyfriend and I had a blast last night at the sushi class. It was enlightening, educational and down right fun, not to mention a great value for the money. Now I just have to be able to cook the rice! We loved it, and will highly recommend it to friends and thank you.

Went to the Thanksgiving Rehearsal class. The husband waited until we arrived to go purchase the oil needed to deep fry the turkey for class. While shopping he called chef Diane and then she yelled at him on the phone while we all sat there. The turkey was over cooked There was little instruction The mushroom she had were bad they smelled sour and were sticky she said I just purchased them they are fine. yuck. Waste of time and money. 0 stars

This is such a fun activity. I've taken two classes and both were equally delightful. Hands on experience and plenty of food and time to practice leaves you with a full belly and a real skill. A fun thing to do with a spouse or group of friends but also fun to go solo and meet the great folks who share your interest. A wonderful way to spend an evening.
