Join the East Texas Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (ETCADA), the East Texas Recovery Initiative (ETRI), and the Texas State Department of Health Services (DSHS) for the second of two Recovery Listening Focus Groups. These meetings are designed to ensure that the voices of our community stakeholders are guiding the regions recovery initiative process at the onset. More specifically, the focus groups are designed to: Increase awareness of the recovery transformation effort underway in North East Texas and ensure that many more people with alcohol and other drug challenges are equipped with what they need to ensure successful recovery. Gain insight from diverse community stakeholders about the critical things that people need to support their recovery. Learn about existing barriers and obstacles to recovery that are specific to our community and identify resources and strengths in our community that can be incorporated into the recovery change process. Identify new allies to potentially partner with us in the efforts to change our communities delivery of recovery. Facilitate a community dialogue that models recoveryoriented principles by engaging and listening to multiple stakeholders (people in recovery, advocates, family members, treatment providers, general public, etc.).
