Our Mission: The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Our Vision: The American Red Cross...always there...touching more lives, in new ways...under the same trusted symbol. Seven Principles: For more than 100 years, the American Red Cross has embodied the universal ideals of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, universality, voluntary service and unity. What We Do: Day after day, person by person, in communities throughout the Tulsa area and across the United States, the American Red Cross teaches people how to be prepared. Prepared to save a life by performing CPR...Prepared to stay safe during a disaster...Prepared to prevent exposure to a contagious virus...Prepared to meet safety standards on the job. How We Do It: Through disaster relief services, health and safety courses, youth programs and first aid tools, the American Red Cross equips thousands of individuals, young people, businesses and volunteers with the power to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of their families, friends, neighbors and co-workers.
