About Leiola Galla & Her Halau Leiola Galla was born on O`ahu, and raised in the Hawaiian culture, hula, arts, dancing, singing and chanting. She has taught hula for the past forty years in various states, including Hawai`i, Oregon, and Arizona. Her former masters include Bella Richards, George Na`ope (founder of The Merrie Monarch Festival "hula olympics"), John Pi`ilani Watkins, Edna Aguil, Edith Kanakaole, Johnny Lum Ho, and Leilani Sharpe Mendes. She is much appreciative for their direction to achieve the various art forms of hula. Enrollment:Accepting ages 4 years and older. Men and women, wheel chair bound are welcome to our Ohana! Beginners and Advanced, all are accepted. Class & Schedule (subject to change): Classes are held at 2030 E. Broadway Blvd, #17 (Broadway & Campbell, across from Wienerschnitzel). Please call ahead to schedule your first class. Contact Leiola for schedule and registration costs at 520-777-5134 or leiolahulahalau@gmail.com Leiola's Hula Halau provides entertaintment for all social functions (birthdays, community organizations, school programs, theme dinners, luaus, weddings, etc.) for an affordable fee. If you would like Hawaiian local food for your event, catering is available at an additional fee, prepared by the Kumu's husband, Dino Galla who was born in the Phillipines, but raised in Hawai`i. Minimum purchase required. Sample Menu: *Kalua Pig *Pineapple Chicken *Chicken Hekka *Beef Teriyaki *Chicken Long Rice *Lomi Salmon *Ahi Poke We'll bring `ono (delicious) food to you!
