In addition to needing cataract surgery for PSC cataracts in both eyes, I had severe myopia, severe astigmatism and presbyopia. In discussing treatment options with a retina specialist, Dr. Diesenhouse was mentioned as the doctor who has probably performed the most cataract surgeries in Tucson. After cataract removal and intra-ocular lens implants performed by Dr. Diesenhouse in both eyes. I now have 20/20 vision in one eye and 20/25 vision in the other. After a lifetime of contact lens and eyeglass wear, and struggling with impaired vision due to cataracts for the past few years, I now have clear, sharp vision and only require glasses for close work (reading and computer). Dr. Diesenhouse is a highly skilled and caring physician who listened to all my questions and gave me the information I needed to make an informed decision about my eye surgery and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. If you have complex vision issues as I did, I don't see how you could do better than Dr. D.

I needed cataract surgery. My left eye had always been near- sighted, my right eye is far-sighted. After left eye cataract removal, I found my vision to be changed to far- sighted, thereby making me wear glasses to see anything close-up. While this happened more than two years ago, I am still very resentful because my left eye vision was changed without consulting my chart or asking me if I wanted it changed, I was just told that was what most people wanted!! I feel an individual should be told if a physician chooses to change the patient's birth-born vision arbitrarily.
