Everytime I go to this shop its at least a grand. I thought it was because our cars were garbage, but as it turns out Im not really sure if they actually did the work they claimed. My daughter bought a used car that started overheating and a friend suggested changing the thermostat. I took it to Bobs to have it done. They claimed to have put a used one in and it was still overheating so they suggested a complete engine rebuild that would cost at least $2000. We didnt have it so we paid them for the thermostat and took the car home. I had planned on taking it to the junkyard, but our friend came over who was a certified mechanic, but is now an engineer took a look at it and said the dust was never disturbed on the engine. He then realized that the thermostat that was in the car didnt go to that car so he changed the thermostat. The previous owner must have made that mistake. He also had to change the water pump and radiator. Total cost was less than $200 and the car runs great.

They do it. Used parts? They'll do that too. They even have a sizeable collection of used parts that they'll sell for below-junkyard prices. Make no mistake about it, this place is the best in Troy! I strongly recommend them over everyone else. They just can't compete with the service and pricing!
