We are a Maryland general practice law firm with offices in Baltimore County, Harford County, and Howard County. We have been practicing since 1977 and our primary areas of concentration are Social Security Disability (SSDI and SSI), Estates and Wills, Personal Injury cases, and District Court Criminal and Traffic cases. We pride ourselves on our proven record of prompt, courteous, and competent representation of our clients, and we strongly adhere to the ethical principles of honesty and integrity. We encourage our clients to discuss fee arrangements before engaging our services. Social Security Disability is the primary focus of our law practice. We represent clients at all levels of the claims process from initial claims filings to federal court appeals. Social Security laws and regulations are numerous and complex. Our firm has been representing Social Security claimants for over 30 years. We have won thousands of cases on behalf of our clients. We take pride in the fact that other attorneys and law firms routinely refer Social Security cases to us. We promise to treat every disability client with dignity and respect, and we will zealously represent every disability client who retains our services. Please call us if you believe that you are entitled to SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY INSURANCE BENEFITS* and/or SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME**. We will be glad to assist you. *SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY INSURANCE (SSDI) BENEFITS are available to individuals who are disabled and have paid FICA taxes so as to earn a requisite number of quarters of coverage within a fixed period of time. Benefit amounts vary depending on an individual's earnings. There is a 5 month waiting period before benefits can be paid. Auxiliary benefits can also be paid in SSDI cases. **SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME (SSI) is a public assistance program based on need and is payable to individuals with limited or no income and resources. SSI can be paid beginning with the month following the month of application. No auxiliary benefits are payable in SSI cases, although disabled children may be eligible for SSI benefits. Our law firm has been providing legal services with regard to Wills and Estates for over thirty years. Preparing a Will is one of the most important steps an individual can take to make sure that his/her assets are distributed upon death to the persons or places intended. Without a Will, the laws of intestate succession will determine how the assets are distributed. The intestate laws may not necessarily coincide with your wishes. In addition to a Will, most people should also consider preparing financial and medical powers of attorney to select the individuals you would like to make your financial and medical decisions, in the event you are not capable of doing so. Preparation of Powers of Attorney can also avoid the need to file guardianship proceedings. Upon death, estate administration (probate) can be a very demanding job for the persons appointed in a Will as Personal Representative. Our firm handles estates throughout the State of Maryland and can assist the Personal Representative in meeting the duties and responsibilities of probating an estate. Please call us if you would like to discuss preparing a Will or Power of Attorney, or if you need help in estate administration. Mignini & Raab, LLP is proud to provide competent legal representation in the area of criminal law including DUI, DWI, assault, possession of CDS, driving on suspended or revoked license and MVA administrative hearing appeals.
