The Topeka store has improved drastically over the past few years, MUCH cleaner and most employees are MUCH nicer and friendlier. They are very strict about no public restroom however due to trouble with people flushing things that shouldn't be and backing up the plumbing. They are even pretty good about working with you on prices on SOME things (Good Will will NOT budge even a cent). If you haven't been in a while go give them another try! (Keep in mind too that the people working there are probably only paid minimum wage and corporate is the one making all their rules and guidelines - those people need their jobs as badly as the rest of us!!)

Zero rating. There Customer Service is one of the worst I have ever seen. Used to love that place. Now I drive across town to Goodwill. Donate to Goodwill. They must hate their job no smiles, no nothing. And very rude. I already tell my bestfriend do not go there because they are very rude. Go to Goodwill nice and friendly. They are very happy to see you. If I could would give ZERO rating.

I cannot hardly believe the prices they are charging at the Topeka SA thrift store. I don't know who sets the prices, but they are charging way too much for items. $75. for a beat up old coffeee table, $600.00 for a dresser because it's antique, but it's way too much for even an antique. They want $ 15.00 for a cooking pot, and the clothes are outrageous. My son donates $300. a month to the Salvation Army, and yet I cannot afford the prices in that store. SA is getting greedy, and where is the compassion for those who are poor? One time I asked the woman "melody" how much she would charge for an old cassette tape player. It had a CD player but I couldn't get it to work. She wanted $40.00 for it! Give me a break! She has dillusions of grandeur and it sickens me. Where does Salvation get off taking free donations and then making it impossible for poor people to buy any of it? I'm going to tell my son to find another charity.
