The Centre for Women serves over 4,000 individuals and families in Hillsborough County each year. From substance abuse treatment for women and family counseling to services for seniors and programs for girls, The Centre ensures help is here for those who need it most. Our mission is to provide hope, knowledge and peace of mind through services that promote independence and strengthen our community. Founded by a group of volunteers led by Senator Helen Gordon Davis in 1977, The Centre has grown tremendously. We employ 65 full-time staff, and have offices in Brandon and central Tampa. The Centre is also accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
