She has now made Temple Terrace, Florida her home. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (Board Certified - ABPN). She is on the faculty of the Department of Neurology and also the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine (courtesy). Prior to coming to Tampa, she spent three years on the Faculty of the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in the Department of Neurology where she was a member of the Comprehensive Oklahoma Program for Epilepsy. She completed her Epilepsy/EEG fellowship with Dean Naritoku,M.D. and Steve Evans,M.D at Southern Illinois University. She also completed a Neuroscience Research Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine with Charles F. Zorumski, M.D. and Keith Isenberg, M.D. She also completed the Bowman-Gray Epilepsy Mini-Fellowship with Kiffin Penry, M.D. Prior to her specialty training, she completed Medical School at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, an internship at Washington University in Internal Medicine and General Neurology Residency at the University of South Florida. She has been principal investigator or co-investigator in numerous Phase II, III and IV clinical trials. She also has numerous publications in neuroscience basic research investigating mechanisms of brain function and epilepsy.Less
