As a local financial advisor I have sent many of my clients to Canterbury over the years. The Health Center government ratings speak for themselves. The bay front apartments where my clients enjoy luxurious surroundings, sizable homes, exceptional service, and the nicest people you could find, exceptional. I never imagined the appreciation I would receive for referring them so I wanted to write this as a thanks to the Canterbury people for the phenomenal life experience my clients enjoyed. And, many times as invited to dinner the waterfront dining was as good as any restaurant and excellent, I was actually takien aback. I will take my own advice in a few years and enjoy that lifestyle with my wife after traveling

My mother was a resident of Canterbury Tower for 11 years until she needed permanent care in their health center. During the month she was in the health center (until she passed away due to natual causes) she received such wonderful care a family could ask for. The staff is not only professional but caring and treated her with dignity and respect. My parents enjoyed living at Canterbury Tower and couldn't say enough good things about it when communicating to me. I highly recommend this facility.

My mother was a resident of the Tower for many years until she went into the health center. The double rooms in the center are tiny. I found the nursing care to be just adequate. Life in the Tower is fine if you are an old Tampa area resident. Outsiders not welcome. It is a snobby place with petty rules such as no wheelchairs in dining room. Once she left her apt to go into the center only one soul came to visit her. Once you leave the Tower proper you are a persona non gratis. I found when visiting the food to be very mediocre esp. in the health center.
