The Deas Law Firm, LLC was founded in January 2004 by Garryl L. Deas, Esquire. Attorney Deas who is a native of Sumter, South Carolina received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of South Carolina in 1991 and he earned his Juris Doctor from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1996. Attorney Deas has over 10 years of legal experience and he and his dedicated staff continue to serve the Pee Dee and Midlands areas of South Carolina by providing diligent and efficient legal counsel in a wide array of case areas including Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Workers' Compensation, Family Law, Criminal Defense, General Civil, Probate, Wills, & Estates, and Real Estate. Attorney Deas served as Municipal Judge for the Town of Timmonsville, SC from July 2000 until January 2004 and he served as Municipal Judge for the Town of Atlantic Beach, SC from February 2003 until January 2004. Attorney Deas currently serves as the Drug Forfeiture Attorney for the Third Circuit Solicitor, C. Kelly Jackson and is responsible for all drug seizure litigation in Sumter, Clarendon, and Williamsburg Counties. Attorney Deas is certified to practice in the United States District Court and the United States Court of Appeals (Fourth Circuit). In addition to practicing law, Attorney Deas is intricately involved in various civic organizations in his hometown community of Sumter, South Carolina and in the Columbia South Carolina Community where he and his family currently reside. Attorney Deas is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and he is a member of the Masonic Order, St. Paul Lodge #8 in Sumter, SC. Attorney Deas also is a board member for the Wateree Aids Task Force in Sumter, SC.
