10/10 recommend going through this Clayton Homes. Our rep was Brantley. He was very professional, informative, upfront, and 100% knows what he is doing! My husband and I have tried to get a home for years now and we have checked out several different companies. We have NEVER had someone so experienced, knowledgeable, and straightforward. When you are purchasing a home, that is the kind of service you need. He has been accountable and reliable. He has replied to our messages/emails in a timely manner. He has gone above and beyond to make sure we have been taken care of. I can't thank him enough!!! I highly recommend you go through Clayton Homes in Statesville, NC and work with Brantley. I'm sure the rest of the reps working there are just as good. We are SO pleased with the service and company. Check them out!

Me an my husband was looking for a place of are own thinking this place would be a good thing since we have a baby on the way. Well I walked in an the sales person was very nice an told me what would happen an I did the paper work to get approved. Went home an looked at BBB an not one good review all over the Internet is bad reviews. So I decided to call the manager and ask him a few questions to figure out is it just one Clayton Homes that's bad that's putting out all these reviews and trying to figure out if this is a good idea situation for me and my husband he had a very bad attitude saying management is the key thing it's bad management that is reviews and told me to look up Better Business Bureau and look up the reviews wish it wasn't good reviews he didn't make me feel secure in my decision so I told him to wrap up the paperwork afterward the reviews I recommend you into not even mess with them

Please do our research on Clayton Homes. There are numerous complaints. Read them and BELIEVE them. Just like Eric K. wrote once you sign the contract it's "don't let the door hit you in the a**" I bought a home Oct. 15, two months later still no house. They have done 8 days of work out of 60. If you buy a house from these folks you better have a long term rental available to live. My home was a display model which I bought because I thought it be faster considering it was already built. All I needed was dozer work and a foundation. Try Affordable Housing just down the road from Clayton. I went there looking first and they told me how it would be to get anything done with Clayton. I just thought it competitor trash talk. Well I was the fool, everything they said was true. If you read this and run out of their office it'll be the fastest thing that's ever occurred there. As I said, don't take my word for it, search Clayton Home complaints and BELIEVE EVERY WORD.

Bought a modular from this place just over a year ago. NEVER AGAIN. The sales process was great, and we're relatively happy with the house. But as soon as you sign on the line, forget it. We had absolutely no input on ANYTHING after the house was ordered. I went out to our property one day to find the foundation had been poured without us ever being consulted. The set up crew lady , "Dena", made ALL choices as to where ANYTHING was placed. We now have a hill in the front "yard" that we can't even water because any water washes out more of the dirt. We have a solid clay front "yard" now. We had originally wanted to build an overhanging porch on the front, but we would have to grade down the mountain we have first, and it would still be pointless because the front yard is completely useless. We wanted the decks on the back the same level, so I could join them and add on for a pool- forget that. The deck heights are off by a good 2 inches, and she put the gravel parking area that we wanted on the side of the house, right where we were going to put the pool. She won't return phone calls or emails, and the staff at Clayton claims they can't get hold of her, yet they keep sending her business. How does that work? If you can get someone else to set a home from Clayton, do it, otherwise avoid this place like the plague.
