My husband and I had been discussing hiring someone to remove two dead fruit trees plus the bottom limbs of a large kapok tree and do a few smaller projects in our back yard. I was at a stop light and an El Cheapo truck pulled up beside me. I took it as a sign, and I'm glad I did. I checked their reviews, called Ed, and he came to give me an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and gave me an estimate that was quite a bit lower than the others I received. He arrived with his crew and explained to them what we wanted done. They were all very efficient, did an excellent job, and cleaned everything up. As he was leaving, he pointed out that the large laurel oak tree in our front yard looked diseased, but it wasn't an emergency. We decided to have it removed. When I called Ed, he called the county for a permit. Then the inspector came, he gave the permit because the tree was weakened. This was a few days before Hurricane Irma was scheduled to arrive on Sunday. On Saturday, I received a call from Ed who said he was worried about what might happen to the tree in the hurricane and that he could send a crew that afternoon to remove it. We said yes, they came, and within a few hours the tree and its danger to our house were gone. Once again the crew worked very efficiently and professionally. I would give El Cheapo 10 stars (5 for each of the jobs they did) and would recommend them to anyone.

I've used Ed since 2012 and he continues to impress. His crews have been with him as long as I have used El Cheapo which speaks volumes to his level of care - whether his employees or his job sites. My favorite aspect of this company is the level of knowledge Ed has on our Florida landscapes. I've utilized his company on multiple properties and with each job he never disappoints myself or my tenants. I have recommended Ed over the years to friends and neighbors. Ever have one of those tasks that seems so unbelievable that you don't even want to start it? Our backyard was completely lined with overgrown palm trees planted right next to each other. Based on the recommendation of a friend we called Ed and his crew at El Cheapo for an estimate.The call was returned immediately, the estimate happened that same day and work began within two days. A job that would have taken other crews days to complete was finished within hours, and all debris was completely removed and the yard looked as if no one has ever been there . The crew shows up with a line of clean professional looking trucks, and immediately gets to work, and works continuously until the last bit of dirt, branch or debris Is completely gone. All certifications and insurances are taken care of, the crew is very courteous and professional, and I highly recommend Ed and the crew of El Cheapo tree service to do that job you've been putting off because of time or price concerns.

You have to read this review! These guys are the absolute best tree service company out there! Ed's estimate was more than fair and he took care of everything with the utmost integrity. The crew was hard working, professional, well mannered, the best in the business, professionals all the way with the precision of tree surgeons. They took down 30+ feet of a dying oak tree limb growing straight up past the roof of my 2 story house in extreme conditions. The previous owner of my house had built a deck around this giant oak tree. The oak tree had split and was growing in two different directions. Not only did the previous owners build a first story deck around this tree but they also built a second story deck around this tree. It looked really cool until one half of this 30 ft tree started dying. Luckily Ed and his crew knew what they were doing and took 30 ft of this dying side of this tree all the way down to the trunk - without damaging the decks or the healthy half of the tree. I still have 30 ft of the healthy half of this tree growing through both decks. I will have El Cheapo back for the other oak trees in my yard and refer them to everyone who needs a tree service. I will never go anywhere else and neither should you.

Ed gave us a very fair price for a fairly big job, and his crew was amazing. It was a pretty big job including a very tall tree that needed to come down because of rot, removal of a ton of Spanish moss that was choking the trees, cleaning out several oaks, a number of cedars, and other trees. The crew was very careful not to damage our other plants and very respectful. They were detail-oriented and left no mess. It was a pleasure to work with them.

We recently had 2 LARGE Oaks removed from our backyard. El Cheapo came and delivered safe, professional and fast service. With an experienced crew, With the trees being in the backyard, they managed to work around a neighbor's newly renovated pool and deck area, fences and close houses. They laid plywood to protect the ground and surrounding driveways for the crane and bobcat. They even hauled everything even down to the saw dust--and blew off the driveway!! I couldn't be more happy with their work or the price! Great company and great prices!!!!! If you need tree work big or small just give Ed a call!!!

EXCELLENT SERVICE AND EXCELLENT PRICING! From the time Ed came to give the quote, until when they came to do the job, complete professionals. They were there right at the time they said they would be (which is unusual) and WORKED until they were done. Very organized operation; everyone was working doing their specialty until the job was complete. They cleaned up the area; even cleared the neighbors driveway of blowing woodchips...even made sure the roof was cleaned up. We're new to Florida, and a friend had recommended El Cheapo after we had gotten another quote that was much higher. Even my neighbors who are long-time residents were impressed by the workmanship. The work crew worked well together, and there was no course language being used as they talked with one another. My children watched the progress throughout the day and everyone was polite and respectful! Very thankful for a job well done;.beyond my expectation.
