      Manito Country Club Manito Golf & Country Club was founded in 1917 at Hart Field by a small group of dedicated golf enthusiasts. The Club permanently moved to its current location in 1922. Today, its 400 golfing members and 200 other members continue to enjoy a beautiful course, as well as a modern clubhouse, various dining options, spacious swimming pool with bathhouse and a lively calendar of year-round social events. Manito Golf & Country Club offers the pleasures of golf, dining, and seasonal swimming at your leisure. Leave the crowds behind as you enjoy recreation with family and friends. The tree lined par 71 course is 6470 yards long with a slope of 70.9 and a course rating of 128. The course is most famous for being the site of the 1944 PGA Championship and our famous greens; which Byron Nelson called the fastest greens I ever played . Since its founding in 1922, member-owned Manito Golf & Country Club has been a sanctuary from the stress of the city where members and their families enjoy the serene and gentle calm only offered in a country club setting. Today, that legacy is stronger than ever with Manito's commitment to tradition while creating a progressive vision for today and tomorrow's members.
