The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife issues hunting and fishing permits. It is also responsible for habitat restoration and protection. The department manages more than 640 animal species and offers various employment opportunities to citizens. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife supports several school, environmental, public and hunter education programs. It maintains one of its locations in Spokane Valley, Wash.
