The SC School for the Deaf and the Blind is the state s only specialized school for students who are deaf or blind. The main campus is located in Spartanburg, but the school serves students throughout the state through its campus and outreach programs. The SC School for the Deaf and the Blind works with parents and professionals to help children realize dreams. Together with local school districts, we strive to match children who are deaf or blind with the best educational options to meet their individual needs. Parents may decide that enrollment on the main campus in Spartanburg is the best option for their child or they may choose to access our specialized outreach service in their local school district. The SC School for the Deaf and the Blind offers three fully accredited schools at its Spartanburg campus: the School for the Deaf, the School for the Blind and Cedar Springs Academy. The admissions team eva luates each student to ensure that one of the three schools is a good fit for the student. Admissions decisions are based primarily on the school s ability to meet the student s individual academic needs.
