Not usually having task of getting our vehicles inspected myself I would like to share my experience. Was greeted by manager as soon as I walked in the door I thoroughly commend him for his extreme professionalism and cordiallity. He kept me informed of progress as it was very busy. I have lived in the area for 16 years and have always had Southport Quick Lube do my oil changes and inspections. I have always had incredible service at every visit. If they find things that may need further attention they have always let me know. I can say I have never been there more than 30 minutes. EVER. The key to that always show up on the half to 45 minutes past the hour. My car is never returned to me with oil all over the steering wheel or greasy finger prints on the hood I am pleased. Great Service, Great Coffee, Clean facility. And I keep going back. The couple of negative comments in here that I saw were probably someone who is just angry at life in general. My wife went there for a safety inspection and oil change. The employee who began her inspection checked her window tint first. He found the tint to be too dark. This I can understand. He then proceeded to call her with his index finger! How rude can a person be? He told her that she had a problem, her tint was illegal. She asked him not to continue the inspection. He then proceeded to treat her like some kind of a criminal. He was rude to her, he was abrasive, he was condescending. So she then waited for an hour and a half for her oil change. When they finally completed the oil change, they charged her $88.00 for the oil change and the inspection.But, when I called back to talk to a manager about how rude one of his employees had been, he informed me that it was the owner who had dealt with her. When I asked to talk to him, he pretended to not be there. I could hear him in the background. It speaks volumes as to the owner's character, talk down to a lady but, hide from a man.

Imagine my surprise when asked to pay over $105 for what was supposed to be a simple $64 oil change - not once during the process did anyone bother to communicate with me that there were several "add ons" required due to the model of the car. The only way I can account for the Manager's attitude when questioned about this is that, because we are vacationing from out -of-state, he flat out didn't care - he'll never see us again. My advice - if you have out of state plates, make sure to ask them to provide ALL the details about the service cost before allowing them to work on your car. This problem could have been very easily avoided with some simple communication - now I feel like I was ripped off. I would NOT recommend this service center to anyone.
