When I first walked in the door there was a man screaming at one of the employees on the other side of the glass. I should have taken this as a sign. I was there to pay the taxes and register a boat & trailer I had just purchased. Well that was 9 months ago and I still cant use the boat because none of the State entities ever received the money or paperwork. I paid over $500.00 cash and surrendered the boat and trailer titles to them. The currency Exchange tells me the money and paperwork are lost and that I am on my own. Something so simple has turned into a complete nightmare. The state of Illinois has told me that this currency exchange is famous for this. If you pay cash it is easy for them to pocket the money and throw away the paperwork. The Currency Exchange claims they paid the state but the state said they pay with money orders and should be able to provide me with the money order #. Big surprise they don't have a money order #. They just smile and say I cant help you.
