Magoni's Ferry Landing Restaurant---- named for its prime location in years gone by--- is situated on Riverside Avenue, Somerset Massachusetts, at the intersection of Routes 6 and 138, overlooking the Taunton River. Although the actual premises have been refreshed over time, it's cozy, white-paneled wooden walls and sturdy colonial tables and dining chairs maintain a warm, familiar charm. The location has not changed and business is thriving.

That's the way Louis and Esther (now, a spry 90 years of age) wanted it almost 60 years ago and that's the way it remains today. Sons, nephews and family still work in the kitchen, on the dining floor or are involved in management.

Customers have become extended family to a superior wait-staff and floor managers, whose skills at accommodating requests to the best of their abilities, is most important.

Native New Englanders who have moved to different parts of the country savor coming home to Magoni's rich, white clam cakes on Fridays, fresh lobster rolls served everyday, healthy salads served on plates the size of hub-caps, succulent burgers, crunchy Mediterranean pizza, hearty minestrone soup and a wide selection of delectable full-course meals.
