Full Service Lawn Care Lynch Landscaping Inc. provides mowing and lawn rejuvenation services. Some of the solutions we provide are listed below, however, we feel that the best way to approach lawn care is to meet with the customer at the property and talk about the expectations and the look that the customer desires. Side Discharge Mowing Side discharge mowing is recommended in large areas or areas that are not highly visible. Side discharging grass clippings have a tendency to not look as neat and clean as the collection method. However, it is a cost effective way to mow large areas and by mowing more frequently a manicured look can usually still be achieved. Collection Mowing Using this technique the grass clippings are collected and disposed of off site. Collection of the clippings is more time consuming and thus more expensive but for those desiring a truly manicured look we recommend this method Aeration Core aeration is the process of puling plugs of grass and soil from the lawn. This service is highly effective at de-compacting soil and should be followed with a potassium rich fertilizer to encourage root growth. Depending on soil type, aeration is something that should be done every one to two years to keep the turfs soil rich in nutrients. Split Seeding or Over Seeding Split seeding is done with a machine that puts small slices in the soil and lays seed into these slices. This service is undertaken on lawns that need to be “thickened up” or to introduce a different variety of grass. Split seeding like aerating can also be helpful in reducing the effects of soil compaction. De-thatching In between the blades of grass and the soil there is an area that is called thatch. If there is too much thatch the turf may stay too moist. This can cause mold and a home for other pests to damage the grass. By removing some of the thatch more water can be absorbed allowing moisture to move to the roots where it is needed. Walks, Patios, Drives Lynch Landscaping Inc. is certified by the Interlocking Concert Paver Instituted in the area of walks, patios and drives. This certification insures that these features will be installed properly and hold up to the harsh Maine winters. A wide variety of materials and installation patterns are available to me.
