      Public Health Area 1 is responsible for the development of local management programs. In addition, the office provides a range of medical services. It caters to the needs of the residents of Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin, Marion, Winston and Walker in Alabama. Public Health Area 1 is a part of the Alabama Department of Public Health. The department maintains birth, death, divorce and marriage records, as well as offers a variety of adoption information. Also known as ADPH, it focuses on disease prevention and control through immunization and education. The Alabama Department of Public Health provides emergency medical solutions and issues licenses and permits.
