iDr. Smiley Thakur has been my mother's Nephrologist for over seven years - seven years she would not have been alive to enjoy if not for Dr. Thakur! She has been a patient from about 2004 and continues to be his patient as of today, July 27, 2011. Mom had not seen a DR. for many, many years and her blood pressure and blood glucose had been sky high for years. Left untreated due to her stubborness, her kidneys had been taking a beating and she was in crisis when we were referred to Dr. THAKUR. Mom was facing DIALYSIS if the tide could not be turned - and by that I mean getting her blood pressure and blood glucose under control immediately. My Dad (married to Mom since the early 1950's) was quite upset at the thought of his wife dying. I was also very upset and sad that my Mother's life could be coming to a tragic end. THANK GOODNESS...THANK GOD we found DR. SMILEY THAKUR. He is kind hearted, and he took such interest in helping my Mom that he instantly instilled confidence beyond belief. We literally turned my Mother over to him - knowing that if anyone could save her it would be DR. THAKUR - and now it's 2011 and my Mother is still alive, vibrant, enjoying life and IS NOT ON DIALYSIS. Dr. THAKUR stabilized her , monitors her carefully and continues to manage her blood pressure in such a manner that DIALYSIS is not even a discussion or a passing thought! Granted her health could take a turn for the worse, due to age or other life circumstances - but it will not be due to lack of Dr. Thakur's professional practices and his intense and extreme knowledge of all things related to her kidney function! I trust him with my Mother's life - and would encourage you to trust him with yours or your loved ones life!
