I have 15 pieces of jewelry. This is not just policy, its discrimination. Just to let you know, I've been in retail & wholesale for over 25yrs. Amazon, they try to push you in a different direction by brushing you off. Because they refuse to set up a category and approval. It takes you in circles. Call there TECH Support / can't speak English to well. Its really becoming a turn off. Its so easy to buy off Amazon its great. Yet, selling on Amazon is not. They play phone tag, Tell them what time to call me and they drop the ball everytime. I went to Craigeslist and it was so easy to set up, a child could do it. I used to work for An Amazon FC. There were several issues with the way people used to push products in receive without prepping them properly. It wouldn't end there either. There were several issues with the way people used to push products in receive without prepping them properly. It wouldn't end there either. The Quality dept, ICQA, would do their counts and just throw items back into bins disregarding the fact that they may be causing damage to the items or other items in the bins (anything to get their number and look like superstars.) it wouldn't end there. Outbound pickers would come pick the respective items and throw items onto the carts. The temp supervisors and AM's would pay no mind as long as their performers were "performing." The company itself preaches Safety First, but it's a joke. Anytime the Safety Coordinators correct anyone or "coach", managers claim that the "performers" are being attacked. The Safety Specialist must be to keep the front office image looking good too. They never come out except for special appearances when there are corporate people in the building. Who knew there was a Safety Manager until there was a hands on meeting. The whole process items go through at amazon is a joke. They are not a customer centric company. All they care about is their monthly bonuses and getting their stock up. I myself stopped ordering from Amazon when I got two packages with damaged product. I never received a reply email. Their customer service support is as bad as their warehouse support. (Hide)

All they do is hide behind the fact that the item was sold by a third party and all they can do is let the vendor know you have an issue and you will have to resolve it with the vendor. I purchased a laptop battery in April 2012 and it stopped working in August 2012. I let them know and I informed them that the merchant says that I have to send a 10.00 to cover shipping. REALLY!!!! I paid shipping to me and now I have to for shipping back to them and then back to me again. Amazon refusing to do anything else. Needless to say I won't be ordering from them again. (Hide)

I did fill out to ship it to and put in my new address. When the book was delivered it was delivered to old address, was told by the office they sent it back with ups the same day. How ever I did write where is my shipment and explain the details. I never received a response and I am still waiting for the book going on 3 weeks now which was suppose to reach me within 2 days. That brand name item you think you are getting a great deal on from amazon.com might end up as a fake knock off soon as well if they dont resolve this issue in their company soon. It really makes me worry because many products manufactured in foreign places do not follow the guidelines that we have. I am sure everyone has heard of the lead paint issues with kids toys and other similar issues that are with actual American sold products. Imagine how much worse than can be if they are not even sold here at all and are not applicable to even those guidelines. Amazon.com sells toys as well like fisher price, how do I now know the christmas presents we bought are legit too and meet those federal guidelines?!?! (Hide)

I sent books in for the buy back program for my college text books. Amazon cancelled my order in a computer glitch, I emailed them to find out what to do. I receieved an email insturcting me to fix it, umm no I won't do your job for you. I called the next day and was told a credit would be issued and email would be sent letting me know the amount. Still no email, so I called back and was told nothing was done. Then I talked to a supervisor who found out my order was still in transit after I was told it was there and it would take two weeks to get them back to me. So a week later, no money, books are whereever in transit, and I am out a few hundred dollars for my college textbook. Integrity is something this company does not have and laziness seems to be the norm for the employees.......totally pathetic! And I was a first time customer and this will be the last time I use them! (Hide)

When I tried to check out, the shipping charges were $31.98. Called C.S. and their answer was something to the effect that this item was being sold by a vendor and they can charge whatever they want. I checked the details and Amazon advertised shipping charge of $6,99 and yet they were charging more during check out. I tried to elevate higher, but to no avail. Several points I am passing on by my experience. 1, C.S. at Amazon is outsourced to India and the command of the English language is not great. 2, If you are not satisfied, there is little recourse since Amazon executives are hidden and not accessible. 3, C.S. is just an answering service to listen/receive complaints, but has no teeth nor intent to really resolve the complaint. 4. Amazon's slogan in C.S responses of: "your feedback is helping us build Earth's Most Customer-Centric Company." is a joke. (Hide)

Called back again to find out where it was, waited another 30 min while they searched for their email offering the promo, they couldn't find it. I forwarded mine, they told me it was now expired so they wouldn't be able to do what they said. I asked for a mgr, who explained that she would give me an amazon credit, but made it clear this was an exception and acted as if she were doing me a huge favor. No apology for my wasted time, no apology for the co. failing to do what they said they would do. I didn't want an amazon credit, I wanted the promo. Also, I don't want to speak to someone in a foreign country....there is a vocabulary gap. (Hide)

Customer service was sorry, even at the amazon.com corporate level. If amazon offered exceptional pricing, this treatment might be tolerable.
