The Butcher's Block began building its reputation 42 years ago for incomparable steaks. Stan McGowan established the store when he came to Sarasota from Ohio in 1968. He is joined by his son Scott to deliver 5 generations of family experience and expertise in the meat business. We offer only beef from premier mid-western corn-fed stock. Each piece is naturally aged for 21-30 days, expertly cut, and hand trimmed.
