An extremely negative experience with one of these dentists... This was a strange and traumatic experience! I went in for a cosmetic dentistry evaluation with one of these... (More) This was a strange and traumatic experience! I went in for a cosmetic dentistry evaluation with one of these dentists.He took a look at what my regular dentist had told me was gingivitis, and tried to convince me that I had oral cancer! He was very dramatic about it, calling over all of his staff. It seemed as though it made him feel very important to have a young patient presenting with something that he considered out of the ordinary.One of the assistants more correctly identified it as irritation, but he was quick to disregard her comment. He told me he horrible and disastrous accounts of individuals with oral cancer, etc. I felt pressure to and let him biopsy it. He cut my gum down to the bone. I came home with a hole in my mouth and a $700 charge on my credit card for this needless service. I also felt very manipulated. It is also disheartening that this dentist is training a newer dentist.Of course my biopsy came out negative for malignancy because gingivitis doesn't =cancer (Hide)
