Superb Place to do precious metals and currency business. Felt secure inside the shop, did not get chatted up, which is a plus when doing currency business. Just in and out, just like I like it. Very VERY professional staff, who has seen it ALL and dealt with all types of people in the G&S business, both wholesale and retail. Paul is a real person and not some shyster. I've introduced 2 more adults to him in the last 2 years, and all have reported same excellent business transactions. Would do business with Brombal's again in a NEW YORK SECOND! Thanks to one and all, especially you, Paul B!

Fair prices and efficient service. Brompal bought silvers rounds from me for $1.20 more than I was offered by a big, national dealer with offices here. I'd do business with him again.

Have exchanged foreign currency here (both buying and selling) and have received better prices -- both ways -- than at any bank in SB. Also better deals here than at LAX or at banks in London or Paris. Furthermore they charge no hidden commissions or service charges. Very highly recommended for foreign currency exchange.
Many years ago I needed to sell some Krugerrands that I had received in payment of a bad debt. I called around SB and found that Brombal paid the most. Further, the difference between what he charged and what he sold for was smaller than the others, which struck me as more fair. Over the years, I have returned, buying some jewelry, but mostly coins and bullion. He is fair, honest, and direct. He and his staff come off a bit abrupt at times, I think because they are busy. But he operates in a very reputable manner and I fully recommend his business. 100%.

My first impression wasn't great (as the review below notes), but as I visited Brombal Coin and Jewelry over a year period, I noticed the bullion dealer has one of the widest variety of bullion in town at reasonable prices, often competing with online pricing. If you go in there knowing what you want, it's a lot easier to get in and out. But they do have a wide variety of gold, silver, platinum and palladium coins and bars. They also have popular numismatics, such as PCGS graded morgan dollars, silver certificates and so on. They are also a currency exchange.

The place looks more like a pawn shop but has a wide variety of bullion, junk coins and jewelry. Most of the stuff in the shop is junk, would only buy at a small premium over spot.. but the selection is wide. If they didn't switch prices on me after telling me it was one price then raising it all within a 1 minute period i would probably go back but i won't. I don't need to deal with people like that. I've seen quite a few poor reviews for the Paul Brombal A Coins & Jewelry but had to go check for myself.
