The name Efes is an abbreviation of the City Ephesus in Turkey. The owners of Efes Turkish Cuisine grew up in the United States. The family first introduced Turkish Cuisine to Florida when they opened up their first restaurant Bosphorous in Winter park, back in 2005. After 5 years of dedication to build their establishment, the family sold it in September of, 2009. The family discovered a free standing building that sits right on Lake Monroe, over by the Marina. It was hard to resist the panoramic view of the Lake Monroe and their vision to create a true Bosphorus illusion right here in Florida. The family created the menu that offered a variety of authentic Turkish food from many regions of Turkey when they built up their first restaurant in winter park. By adding additional selections to their previous menu and, the lake view from every angle of the restaurant, it's easy to imagine dining on the Bosphorus in Istanbul. Couple of masques across Lake Monroe will seal the deal.
