Years ago I was impressed with the care my son received. Now I can only point out that 'hands on' is no longer the case. My son has again fallen into a crack in our county mental health care. We went through many years of minimal care, then finally had a worker with a mind. Since she retired my son has relapsed. All her good work - virtually gone. He now refuses his meds (after 6 good years of compliance), refuses to see the doctor and NO ONE has tagged his chart or shown the least interest. Shouldn't a blip in behavior be spotted in cases like this? He's an adult - so 'mom' is barely in the loop. Very distressed.
