There are a few auto auctions in the Otay area and I have been to all of them. I like the fact that this auction you can lift the hood and check the engine before you bid. ALL of the other auction YOU CAN NOT EVEN OPEN THE HOOD!! WHAT ARE THEY HIDING??? Bad motor, burnt transmission, water in the oil (head gasket)?? I know that they have these types of vehicles too, but at least you can check!!! The only reason I left 4 stars is that like all auction, its CASH only. The office staff is helpful too. If you are looking for your first auction or a veteran buyer, this place is about the best you can get for these type of vehicles.

If you never went to a auto auction, you have to be careful. Most of these auction cars are sold "as-is" no guarantees or warranties. It may be a gamble but the prices are cheap enough. I like Express better than the others in the Otay area. The employees are helpful if you never been to one. Go early on Wednesday and check out the cars. They do have vehicles with bad trannys and engines so check out the one you are interested in.

This company no longer allows previews the day before, but you can go Wednesday am, 8- 10 to inspect the vehicles before the auction. They still let you start the engines, open the hood. I think this is the only auction that allows that in San Diego. Thoroughly check out the cars, though. Some have minor to major (transmission) problems. They do have nice staff there, very friendly. All these places are cash only and no guarantees on anything....Good Luck Jose C

Okay auction, but most of the cars are from people dumping there cars with problems. There are some good buys though. You just have to check out the cars first. The employees treat you fair. This auction is better than most of the other auctions.

I have not left any ratings before, but I have been to most of the auto auctions in San Diego. By far, This is the best auto auction! They have about 100 vehicles or so, each and every week. No other auctions allows you to go the day before and check out the cars. You can lift the hood, start the engines. You can even go on Wednesday (auction day) and still open the hood and start the engines...(NO OTHER AUCTION PLACES ALLOWS THAT!) All the vehicles are sold "as is - no guaranties" so you need to check out the cars. Only draw back is that this place is on a cash only basis. I buy and sell vehicles and I visit this place at least every other week and I have even taken my cars there to sell as well. If you are leery of auction places, go here. The office people will explain everything to you.

I've been to this auto auction twice now. Bought one vehicle and it need a little work but I bought it CHEAP! Go in the office and ask for Minerva. She is great especially if you never been to an auction before. Its a cash only place..if i could buy with a credit card, I would buy more vehicles.

Great place to buy used vehicles, cheap. The auction is on Wednesday but go on Tuesday to completely check out the cars before the auction. Be careful, all vehicles are sold as is with no guaranties so really check them out. You can start the engine, open the hood and check everything out.
