I too went in for an oil change. I live close by and have used them before and received coupons in the mail. I was... (More) I too went in for an oil change. I live close by and have used them before and received coupons in the mail. I was use to being manipulated and pressured by them, but often times refused all their extra "suggestions" that jacked my bill up to $150 or $200, and insisting that i only wanted an oil change, where then the smooth talking mechanic ie (deal closer) would reply, "they charge even more at the dealership". I shrugged those remarks off and said calmly "that I only wanted an oil change". They then asked If I wanted a new air filter? I asked to be shown my current air filter (knowing that it had recently been changed). I followed the charlatan out to the garage and was then told "that the current filter could last a little longer but that they did sell a lifetime warranty on their special air filters. I said I would pass and wandered back to the waiting room. I waited for 30 minutes or so before I got anxious. I went to the garage and asked if my car was done. The manager approach (Hide)
