Debris Box/Debris Bin provides Roll-off trash box service to the construction and demolition industry, as well as homeowners cleaning up around their house. We want to deliver a trash box when you need it and where you need it. We offer same day service in the entire San Diego County area. We have roll-off boxes like you see at construction sites and big clean-ups. We also have 3-yard bins like you see at office and apartment buildings. The service is called "roll-off box" because the box rolls off the back of the truck and is placed on the ground where you want it. In the other sixteen cities of San Diego County, we can provide service to jobs that are funded by the State of California such as public schools and CalTrans. You may ask why the other sixteen cities in San Diego County restrict your choice of trash hauler. Well, it boils down to money - a franchise fee is built into the fee schedule authorized by each city. The State of California has authorized cities to have exclusive franchises for trash hauling. Sixteen cities in San Diego County have decided to exercise that right and select your trash hauler for you. They also collect a franchise fee from the hauler. (This is one way that cities and counties sneak a tax on ratepayers without putting the tax on the ballot.) If your job site is located in one of these sixteen cities and you are upset about not being able to choose your hauler, or negotiate price or payment terms or service level, please contact the elected officials and city managers in these cities. At annual renewal time, they usually report that there are no complaints about the trash hauler that they selected for you. So, please be on record as wanting the right to choose your hauler and preferring competition among haulers. Recycling Services Rock, concrete & asphalt These materials can be ground up and used as aggregate in concrete or as road base. We can legally haul up to 10 tons. These loads may not include trash, vegetation (including roots), plastic liner, wood, etc. The unwanted materials may result in a clean-up fee that may be more than the original agreed upon price, these materials may also result in the load being treated as a trash load which may double the recycle price. Green loads Tree trimmings and yard waste are ground up and used as mulch. Unacceptable items include: • Trash • Root balls • Succulents (examples include ice plant & cactus), • Fibrous trees and plants because they don't grind up well (examples include palm trees, palm fronds & yucca) • Trunks greater than 4 feet in length • Processed wood • Dirt Wood loads Lumber may be recycled. Restrictions include: • No paint, varnish, stain or other treatment of the lumber. • No composite lumber such as plywood or fiberboard. The glue used in these products make them non-recyclable. Metal loads Metals can be recycled as long as they are free of trash. We charge a haul rate and refund or credit your account for the proceeds of the metal sale (supported by a copy of the recycler's receipt). Mixed metals usually receive a lower price per ton than separated metals. Box Sizes & Uses Boxes are measured by the cubic yard space they occupy The standard box is called a 40 It actually has space for 39.11 cubic yards. This box is 22 feet long, 8 feet wide and the walls are 6 feet high. This box is designed for mixed loads that do not contain heavy materials such as dirt, rock, concrete, asphalt, brick, etc. This box is also used for green loads. A lowboy is used for heavy materials such as dirt, rock, concrete, asphalt and brick. A shorter multi-purpose box is called the 30Less
