I hurt my back at work, to the point that I was transported to the
emergency room at a local hospital. I was... (More) I hurt my back at work, to the point that I was transported to the
emergency room at a local hospital. I was given multiple doses of
morphine for the pain. A friend saw what I was going through and bought
me a session for the Acupuncture Wellness Center. I am a
person that does not like needles of any kind, and I was a bit skeptical
about the whole acupuncture thing.
It was mandated by my employer to see a worker's comp doctor
and therapist while I was being treated by Dr Alison, and they were amazed
by my recovery.
After my back recovered, I have been seeing Dr Alison at the Acupuncture Wellness Center for my chronic neck pain and headaches. To my surprise all are
under control, including the arthritis in my neck. Dr. Alison Schaeffer is
professional, warm and friendly. My chiropractor has decided that I
should have chiropractic care after the acupuncture treatment because of
the success of the acupuncture in relaxing my muscles enhances the
chiropractic. Per my chiropractor's recommendation, I've lessened my
Chiropractic care to once or twice a month because she confirmed the
acupuncture treatments were successful.
I will say this- her method is to take you to back to full health. She is
definitely skilled in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. I am in a win
win situation.
