Omnitrans is the public transit agency serving the San Bernardino Valley. Founded in 1976 through a joint powers agreement, Omnitrans carries over 15 million passengers each year throughout its 480-square mile service area.Dial-A-Ride service was renamed to OmniLink and was introduced for the communities of Grand Terrace/South Colton and Chino Hills. The Victor Valley Transit Authority introduced the Victor Valley Commuter that connects people from the high desert to Metrolink and Omnitrans stops in Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario and San Bernardino. Omnitrans became the first transit authority to use electric/gasoline hybrid coaches that run on Route 2. These buses reduce the amount of emissions significantly than compressed and liquefied natural gas vehicles. Improvements to the Fontana Transit Center were completed
