I took my cat to Dr Ponce because she was pulling the hair out on her back. She put us through 3 painful, expensive and useless tests only to tell me that she thought my cat needed to be on anti-depressants!!! I found this diagnosis hard to believe. A co-worker recommended Dr. Wilson in North Salt Lake. Within seconds (really) of checking my cat, he found that her eye teeth were both abscessed. Had Dr. Ponce done an actual basic head to paw exam she would have found this before torturing my cat and my wallet ($800)! I will say that her staff is very friendly.

We've been with Dr Ponce for over three years and are extremely happy with her. She's seen us through the loss of three of our pets with professionalism, support and understanding. She's called in experts to tell us about cancer treatment for our dog and stepped us through all the options when one of our cats developed a serious problem (lung cavity filling with fluids). She gives you the facts and what the chances are, but never pushes an expensive treatment. She lets you decide what you want to spend and what you want for your pet. As an example - we opted not to pursue cancer treatment because we felt it was in the best interest of the dog and when it was time she came to the house to put him to sleep. She gives you the straight facts and support. We're also very happy with her techs - they will take steps to save you money if they can (offered not to do an exam when I just needed a kennel cough shot for the new puppy). All in all I highly recommend Avenues Pet Clinic.
