Its objectives are to promote greater awareness and participation in cultural activities, to promote a greater sense of community and belonging, to promote understanding and respect between different cultural groups and to increase public awareness of the many cultures that are present on the Delmarva Peninsula and the manner which they contribute to making the Peninsula a pleasant place to live.b According to Hoy, there truly is something in the festival for everyone. This family friendly festival will be a showcase of the Delmarva Peninsulab s rich cultural and traditional heritage. It will celebrate the common features of the different cultures in a welcoming and fun atmosphere. Festival visitors will experience a vibrant mix of delicious foods, traditional and contemporary performances, song, dance, music, educational booths and activities.
