On April 12th, 2011 Whole Foods Market will welcome summer with the re-opening of its brand new Rockville location on Woodglen Drive. The new store will be even bigger and better than before with a host of exciting new features unique to the Rockville community. Unique to the new location is the Cooking Rockville department and program, which combines designated workspaces, cookbooks, cooking tools, demonstrations, and themed, seasonal menus to engage, inspire and educate shoppers about the joy of cooking. Other highlights that customers will enjoy include the new coffee and gelato bar serving fresh brewed coffee and homemade popsicles. The vast prepared foods section will offer even more everyday favorites for meals on the go including authentic Neapolitan pizza, stuffed arepas, made-to-order burgers, and a full-service BBQ bar. To celebrate the excitement, Whole Foods Market Rockville will kick-off the grand opening with plenty of free tastings, live music, cooking programs, tours and an array of evening activities. The first 200 shoppers on opening day will receive a limited edition cookbook featuring delectable, time-tested recipe submissions from noted Rockville citizens, including long-standing Whole Foods Market Rockville team members!
