Physicians To Women Inc21 Highland Ave, Roanoke, VA 24011
Physicians to Women has specialized in obstetrical and gynecologic care for women in Southwest Virginia since 1940. We strive to provide high standards of medical care, educate our patients and maintain effective communication. We also offer many services in the comfort of our offices so our patients don?t have to go to the hospital, but can be treated for many things right here with us. We serve patients in the greater Roanoke area, as well as Salem, Vinton, Botetourt, and Franklin County. Appointments Our office is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday except for major holidays. Appointments may be made at the time of your visits or by calling (540) 982-8881. If you are unable to make an appointment, please call to reschedule so another patient may use the time. We have organized our scheduling system to enable us to see scheduled patients efficiently and as close to the appointed time as possible. We understand that long waits are inconvenient and uncomfortable. However, emergencies and unexpected delays may occur. When we know we are running late we will try to advise you so you may make other arrangements or reschedule your appointment. Rescheduling Appointments If you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, please call our office as soon as possible to reschedule another one. Late cancellations or "no-shows" prevent others from being seen. To address this need, cancellations less than 48 hours in advance will result in a $25 fee. Missed appointments will result in a $60 charge. These charges are the individual's responsibility as insurances do not cover these charges. Exceptions are made for inclement weather. Phone Calls If you have medical questions or problems, please call during office hours when we have access to your records. A nurse will always be available to answer your questions. If you need to speak with your doctor, let the nurse know when he or she can return your call. Please understand your doctor may be unable to return calls until lunch-time or after office hours due to a busy schedule. If you have an urgent problem which requires an office visit, the doctor or nurse will determine the best time for you to come in based on the nature of the problem and the time needed to evaluate it. Please be assured that if your problem is an emergency you will be seen promptly and expediently. An on-call physician for the practice will help you if your regular physician is not available.
