My Grandfather who is turning 100 this year in October has frequented this Sandwich stand since it originally opened... (More) My Grandfather who is turning 100 this year in October has frequented this Sandwich stand since it originally opened years ago. One of his fondest memories was visiting here with my grandmother who passed away several years ago. They would drive all the way from Whittier and then Montclair just to eat one of their Grinders because of their great crispy homemade bread. There is nothing else anywhere like D'Elias. Now we visit my grandmothers grave close by and to honor her memory and their tradition we always stop by D'Elias for a Grinder and what I believe are many fond memories for my grandfather of times long past. Highly recommend you and your family visiting this spot and developing your own family traditions. After you have D'Elias grinders you will be ruined for life and have to go back again and again. This place is usually always busy and full of families or groups ordering together. I'm very thankful of the great meals and memories they've given us to share. (Hide)
