The American Institute of Massage is a therapeutic massage school. It is certified by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia and is accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation. The American Institute of Massage, Inc., trains students in the following areas: Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Pathology Massage Theory and Practice taught in four parts: Part I. - Massage Part II. - Trigger Point Massage and Myofascial Release Part III. - Acupressure Massage Part IV. - Neuromuscular Massage In order to become a Certified Massage Therapist in Virginia, you must become nationally certified, and certified under the Virginia Board of Nursing. Each student is responsible for meeting all requirements in becoming certified.
