The Academy of Christian Education is first and foremost a Christian school. We desire to honor Christ in all we do and say. We begin every day in every class with the Pledge of Allegiance, a patriotic song, prayer, and a half-hour of Bible study. During Bible time we study the Bible, learn memory verses, and sing Christian songs. The Academy of Christian Education strives to provide a high quality, academically accelerated education. To that end, we are using an accelerated form of the A Beka curriculum for math, grammar, spelling, phonics, and health. We are currently using Bob Jones University history and science and added classic literature. In previous academic years our students have scored an average of two to six grades above level on the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT) in all areas. In addition, our program includes social studies/history, science, health, Spanish, Music, PE, and Art. Computer classes are provided twice a week for all students in our computer lab, and the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students are issued a notebook computer creating a 1-1 computer environment. We have tried to build a school that not only honors God and has a high academic standard, but is also a place where children desire to come and learn. Our physical environment is bright, airy, clean, well organized, and safe.
