Within 30 days, the Doughboy pump went bad and had to be rebuilt. They rebuilt it instead of giving us a new one, but meanwhile, we bought another pump so we could use the pool for the time the original was in the shop. Now, a year and a half later, the pump on the Coast Spa, (with the gold 5 year warranty) has gone bad. They tell us that it's not covered because the O ring in the pump went bad and caused the other problems. They say we didn't test the water or we ran the pump dry! I have given up, bought a new wet end from Ebay and am fixing it myself, which I know voids the useless warranty they offer. Also, the stereo went out within the first year because it generates so much heat in that little compartment, but they refuse to fix that under warranty because we 'obviously had to get it wet!' This company, along with their spa repair company, and Coast spas go to great length to find a reason to not stand behind their products. (Hide)
