went to get a inspection was told I needed a pitmen arm and it would cost $167.00 and take 1 hr.30 min. to fix was charged $252.00 an 2.4 hr. I timed the actuall time he worked my truck it was 1.3 hr. he spent the other 1 hr. on another customers car and getting another one a uhaul BIG RIPOFF will never go there again. if anyone goes there to get work done keep a eye on the time they work on your car or you will pay out the nose.

Total ripoff place.Spend any money with them and you are fool.

I really like this place. After paying $900 for an inspection last year at another local mechanic's business, it's safe to say I was pretty leery about ever going there again. I recently purchased tires at United Muffler and was so pleased with the price, the quality of their work, and the friendliness of the staff, I chose to return to them the following month for my state inspection. They were extremely thorough and verified that everything on my car was in good condition. They also ran a diagnostic scan (at my request) for a check engine light, and the results didn't cost me the gazillions of dollars I had feared. Prices for everything were very reasonable. They will certainly be my go-to place for my automotive needs for the remainder of my time as a student at RU!

Had a really bad experience with United Muffler. The first time I left my vehicle for repair the work was not complete for 2 days longer than the initial estimate. The cost was also $230 more than the estimate which I understood based on problems encountered during the repair. That is when things started going downhill. The repair lasted for two weeks. Over the next few months I took my vehicle back for the same issue FOUR times. They never fixed the problem. I finally gave up and took it to another mechanic who took a quick look at it and told me exactly what was wrong. The second mechanic could not understand why United Muffler tried to complete the repair the way they did as there was no way it would last. After I had the second mechanic fix the issue I went back to United Muffler and explained exactly what was done to fix my vehicle and gave them a copy of the receipt from the second mechanic. They refused to give even a partial refund. I will no longer be using United Muffler.
