Slabaugh Custom Stairs headquartered in Quakertown, PA began operation in 1982 and in time provided wooden stairs and stair railings to many fine homes in the southeastern Pennsylvania areas from Philadelphia to the Greater Lehigh Valley as well as in southern New Jersey. Because the centerpiece of many fine homes is the foyer, we feel honored to manufacture and install many high quality circular, straight, flared or winder stairs to this region. While many of these stairways are supported by walls, many are freestanding or 'floating' and are made of oak, while others are maple, poplar, cherry, Santos Mahogany, Brazilian Cherry or mahogany. Using computer aided design, we work with builders, homeowners and architects who want that extra guidance in design and planning or who appreciate the ability to visit our showroom and select from many diverse and exciting styles of quality brands of handrail materials from Coffman, Stair Parts Inc., Staircase and Millwork Corp., Carolina or even custom produced. The balusters, or spindles, could be very plain, fluted, octagonal and twisted in style or contemporary, even glass, with newels matched to balusters along with many styles of rails to satisfy many tastes.
